Reviews:
This gets: a from eryka:
I have to admit to a certain prurient enjoyment of some of the raunchy sex in this book, but otherwise, there was such a lack of coherent plot that I couldn't take it. This book is another reason I don't particularly go for male writers. Call me sexist.

From the back cover:

The acclaimed author of "Easy Travel to Other Planets" now presents a brilliant novel of two couples--sophisticated and beautiful, involved in sexual and political intrigues, and private and public duplicities--on the eve of a Mexican election

eryka.com scale:

So good you just can't stand it.
Almost that good.
Sort of good.
Generally a waste of time.
Destined for the recycler.
