About Eryka Peskin
Eryka is a licensed social worker, a fierce cheerleader, and a registered
representative with a leading financial services company. She combines these approaches to support you in making money
your friend and an effective tool to help you achieve your goals and dreams. She is a co-founder and the director of the
Red Tent Women's Project, an organization dedicated to empowering and educating women and girls of all backgrounds. She is also a photographer and writer.
She is firmly dedicated to making the world a better place, and educating and empowering people
about abundance and money is one of the ways she does this.
See, Eryka's money story wasn't all sunshine
and flowers. After winning a lawsuit against New York City for breaking an ankle in a pothole when she was 16, Eryka
knew nothing about managing her finances and ended up in a fiscal pickle. (To say the least!) After essentially
starting from scratch (financially speaking, at least), she realized she:
a) never wanted to go through anything
like that ever again b) she needed to learn everything she could about money: how it works, what's the best thing
to do with it, and more.
And then she realized that c) it was plumb selfish not to share this knowledge
with others.
And then she realized that people have mad issues about money. Okay, this wasn't
news. But then she realized that she could put her social work degree to good use (which would make her mom happy)
by combining her degree in social work with her training in financial planning, thereby helping people overcome whatever
keeps them from feeling empowered to deal with their money and see the world as abundant.
Et viola, here we are!
