Read the Hobbit in 6th grade, thought it was cool, and that was basically my experience with fantasy (except for The Mists of Avalon). Saw this at Costco, resolved to read the whole thing through (all 3 books). A little too ambitious, but I did indeed enjoy it. After all, it's a classic!
