Reviews:
This gets: a from eryka:
The cover was way more interesting than the book. Sometimes men can write convincingly from a female perspective, but he couldn't. It was just, overall, a crap experience to read this book. It gets rain for the cool cover. This book made me think of having a hurricane or tornado to denote less than bad...

From the back cover:

Readers of "Bright Lights, Big City" and "Secret History" will flock to this complex psychological portrait of a dangerously ambitious young woman on the fast track of San Francisco's magazine industry.

eryka.com scale:

So good you just can't stand it.
Almost that good.
Sort of good.
Generally a waste of time.
Destined for the recycler.
